When Oklahoma basketball entertains Kansas State Wednesday night, it will be the first time this season that the Sooners have played back-to-back games at home.

The 19th-ranked Sooners (13-3, 2-2) are a perfect 5-0 at Lloyd Noble Center this season, and home has suited them well when paired against K-State the past five seasons. OU is 4-1 against Kansas State in Norman and 63-27 all-time.

The OU-K-State takes on a little extra emotional tug for Oklahoma head coach Lon Kruger. Kruger was two-time Big Eight Player of the Year while playing for the Wildcats in the early 1970s and also coached the team from 1986-90. Kruger, in his seventh season as the Sooners’ head coach, is 6-8 all-time against his alma mater while at Oklahoma.

Kruger’s No. 12 jersey number hangs in  the rafter’s at K-State’s Bramlage Coliseum.

Kansas State began the season as the 12th-ranked team in the Associated Press preseason top 25. The Wildcats ran hot and cold in the nonconference schedule and lost Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year Dean Wade in mid-December to a foot injury. They struggled out of the gate in Big 12 play, but have posted two huge road wins (at West Virginia and Iowa State in the past week) to even out their league mark a two wins and two losses.

Here are some other interesting number to get you ready for the Wednesday night tip-off:

3 — At least three OU players have scored in double figures in all 13 of the Sooners’ win this season.

4 — Four different Oklahoma players have led the team in scoring the last seven games.

8 — Eight of the nine players in Oklahoma’s rotation have at least three games of 10 or more points.

11-1 — The Sooners are 11-1 this season when they outrebound their opponent.

20-6 — Oklahoma’s record when sophomore Brady Manek scores in double figures.

27.5 — Three-point field goal percentage by OU’s opponents since Dec. 1. That ranks as the 15th lowest in the nation.

33.0 — In OU’s 13 wins this season, its opponents are averaging 33.0 percent from the field in the final 15 minutes of the game.

37.7 — Field goal percentage of Oklahoma’s opponents this season. Last year’s Sooner team allowed opponents an average of 49.0 percent.

42.7 — OU’s 42.7 rebounds per game rank eighth in the country this season.

66.7 — Oklahoma is holding its opponents to an average of 66.7 points a game this season. That compares with 81.7 points a game the Sooners gave up on defense last season.
