Oklahoma’s offensive line got a solid addition Thursday night. While the rest of the world has enjoyed a day of World Cup soccer and the NBA Finals, the Oklahoma Sooners picked up its seventh commitment of the 2015 class.
Offensive guard Dominique Hearne of Lancaster, Texas announced via Twitter that he will be a Sooner following his senior year of high school.
Hearne, a 6’3″, 288 pounds guard, turned down offers from OU’s biggest instate rival, the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Hearne, also, received offers from the likes of TCU, Texas Tech, and Arizona State.
According to Rivals, Hearne is ranked as one of the Top 50 guards in the 2015 class and the 88th-ranked player in Texas. Hearne visited Bob Stoops not too long ago, and after what seemed to be an enjoyable visit, the Lancaster native decided to go with Oklahoma.
Recruiting has really picked up for the Sooners lately. Four-star tailback Rodney Anderson of Katy, Texas and three-star cornerback P.J. MBanasor of Pflugerville, Texas committed recently.
The Sooners 2015 class is looking good so far, and what a great job the coaching staff is doing to take the pressure off these young guys before they begin their senior years of high school.
