While he went undrafted a few weeks ago, Gabe Lynn signed an NFL contract with his new team. The Jenks native received a three year deal from the Detroit Lions.
The former Sooners safety signed a three-year, $1.5 million dear with the Lions, and could earn around half a million dollars these next few seasons with Detroit.
Lynn received $2,500 signing bonus, which is the only money guaranteed on his contract, but Lynn could prove to be successful at the next level.
At Oklahoma, he peaked his senior season with 57 tackles and recorded four interceptions.
Athlon placed him on their All-Big 12 First Team, and was well respected as a senior. He was a huge key to Oklahoma’s success against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2014 Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Gabe Lynn, once the top player in the state of Oklahoma out of high school, will have to work hard to earn his spot in the professional ranks.
Best of luck to Gabe as another Sooner has been signed in the NFL.
