Newly converted tight end Blake Bell won’t get to show off his progress in this year’s spring game.
According to Sooner Scoop, next week’s Red-White game will not feature the Belldozer.

Bell, who helped Oklahoma get to the Sugar Bowl last season as a quarterback, will be sidelined the rest of spring practice.
As reported by Carey Murdock, no surgery will be required, which is great news. However, it does not help his transition, but it does give more time for Taylor McNamara to prove his value for 2014.
Blake Bell was a part of an April Fools joke earlier in the week, which indicated he would switch back to the quarterback position. Orchestrated by Oklahoma’s football twitter account, it was all in good fun.
However, this is no joke and hopefully it’s just a minor setback. Blake Bell is a tough guy, and it’s a bummer fans won’t be able to see a glimpse of “Knight to Bell” on any plays.
Though, there will be plenty more to see next Saturday with a fresh set of running backs taking more responsibility, an offensive line without Gabe Ikard, and a secondary looking to replace Aaron Colvin.
Have I mentioned how excited I am for the spring game?
