I complained last week about Blake Bell not being allowed to run the Belldozer this season, even when they needed just one or two yards for a first down. Guess what? They ran the Belldozer for the first time this season and it resulted in a first down. That was one highlight for a very hard fought first half that saw the Oklahoma Sooners lead the TCU Horned Frogs and head into the locker room with a 13-0 lead.

The Horned Frogs played great defense against Oklahoma through the entire first half, especially in the secondary. Blake Bell only threw for 119 yards in the half, but that was more because there was never a receiver open. On the other hand, he had to run 10 times for 22 total first half yards, including the Belldozer first down.

On the other hand, the Sooners defense was extraordinary. They limired Travone Boykin to 17 total yards on five completions and the Horned Frogs ran for negative one yard in the first half. Overall, the Sooners outgained TCU, 191 yards to 16.

The OU touchdown was on a Blake Bell handoff to Trey Franks, who raced up the middle for an eight yard touchdown run.

At halftime, the Oklahoma Sooners lead over TCU is simply dominating the game defensively.
