Game Capsule: Oklahoma Basketball vs. Louisiana-Monroe

Feb 14, 2012; Norman, OK, USA; Oklahoma Sooners head coach Lon Kruger talks to his team during a break in action against the Texas Longhorns during the second half at the Lloyd Noble Center. Mandatory Credit: Mark D. Smith-US PRESSWIRE

Kickoff: 2 p.m. CST

Location: Lloyd Noble Center- Norman, OK

Television: FSN (Cox 37)

Radio: KOKC-AM 1520 (Oklahoma City)

Why Oklahoma Will Win: The Sooners have plenty of talent returning to the Lloyd Noble Center, along with some freshmen who showed tons of potential in OU’s two exhibition games. OU has the shooters to take down the Warhawks, who just suffer in comparison. This should be an easy win for a Sooner looking to improve upon 15-16 record.

Why Louisiana-Monroe Will Win: They do return Charles Winborne, who was selected to the preseason All-Sun Belt third team. The Warhawks, however, are coming off a disappointing 3-26 season. UL-Monroe lost both its leading scorer and rebounder, so this could be a rough day for a team trying to find an identity. It may not be easy, as the Warhawks did not play any exhibition games and must start their season against a promising Oklahoma team.

Joe’s Prediction: Oklahoma by 20.
